PUT A DIFFERENT WAY

What if in just 7 days from right now, you were able to obtain all the knowledge and skills that you need to turn your current team into an efficient, well oiled machine with coworkers that are willing to cooperate with you and actually get things done?

I mean, a group where every team member communicates effectively and clearly with each other, helping the group or organization as a whole to move forward

One where terms like “insubordination” and “gross incompetence” have become a thing of the past and you no longer spend a lot of time putting out fires

Where people actually want to do the work they are assigned to do without your having to make threats and micromanage every activity, and where your top performers feel valued and your poor performers know they will be held accountable?

What if in the next 7 days, you were able to acquire the knowledge, skills, and insight to completely transform the atmosphere of your current team into one where every member is always willing to cooperate with you and create an effective work environment for everyone around them?

If you want to learn how to create that kind of team, keep reading.

NOW...

You’ve probably spent a lot of time going through online articles or videos looking for solutions. I know because all good leaders start that way.

But just when you think you’ve found that one thing that you can implement to start seeing results, you realize that it doesn’t address or solve the main issues you’re struggling with:

➜ How do I deal with a coworker who just doesn’t want to do what I ask?

➜ How can I become more persuasive?

➜ How do I create the right incentives for my team members?

➜ How do I know when to pull the plug for the people who just don’t get it?

➜ How do I retain my high performers?

And it can become really frustrating when you feel powerless because a team member is just being difficult.

You’ve tried everything out there and nothing is working, because you still don’t have your dream team.

And it seems like no matter what method you try when hiring new team members, you’re stuck with people who exhibit the same behaviors over and over again.

BUT JUST IMAGINE...

Imagine, just for a minute, becoming an amazing and confident leader… working with a team of highly motivated people… achieving all the goals you set for your team and for yourself… and all without the frustration that comes with putting out fires every day, feeling the need to micromanage every moment of the day, and considering firing someone at least once a day!

What would happen?

Let me tell you.

1. First, your confidence will go through the roof!

There is nothing more empowering than the feeling of knowing that you are in control… You are no longer powerless. You have it all figured out. It’s that moment when something finally clicks in your mind. You understand it. It works!

2. Then, you start noticing yourself stress levels falling and becoming more and more relaxed each day.

While basically working as the firefighter of your organization, you have no time to rest, relax, and be as forward thinking as you’d like because you’re stuck in the minute by minute minutia of each day.

What if Jane doesn’t deliver after taking almost 2 weeks on this one task? What if Joe just decides not to show up for no apparent reason? What if… what if something just… goes wrong and no one tells me?”

Questions like these no longer bother you when you’ve built and developed the right team. You’ll realize more and more each day, that you can focus on your tasks and trust completely that your team members will handle their tasks.

3. Finally, the measurable results start coming in.

At this stage, confident, relaxed, and stress-free you start achieving more and more by seemingly doing less and less. This is when you unlock the true definition of leadership and are able to “set and achieve challenging goals, take fast and decisive action when needed, outperform the competition, and inspire others to perform at the highest level they can” (Investopedia).

How cool is that?

This is what many new and aspiring leaders think life will be like as soon as they step into their desired leadership position, but then reality immediately sets in when they realize how incredibly difficult it actually is to get to that point without any help. Maybe that’s been your journey as well.

Having spent over 30 years in the leadership industry training and coaching people all over the world, I’ve learned that not every new or aspiring leader follows the same route to learning how to effectively create and lead a dream team. In fact, all leaders generally follow one of 3 routes on their journey:

This is what many new and aspiring leaders think life will be like as soon as they step into their desired leadership position, but then reality immediately sets in when they realize how incredibly difficult it actually is to get to that point without any help. Maybe that’s been your journey as well.

Having spent over 30 years in the leadership industry training and coaching people all over the world, I’ve learned that not every new or aspiring leader follows the same route to learning how to effectively create and lead a dream team. In fact, all leaders generally follow one of 3 routes on their journey:

1. The School of Hard Knocks

There is where new and inexperienced leaders go through a series of avoidable and painful experiences hoping to “learn on the job.” As courageous as these leaders may seem at the beginning, nearly all of them eventually lose the drive they started with at the beginning of their leadership journey.

Soon, they all come to “lower their expectations” and “hope for the best,” not having any real strategy or approach to leadership and people management. And the few who don’t give up, come out the other end with horror stories, hurt feelings, cynical mindsets, selfish personalities, bruised egos, destroyed reputations, or all of the above.

When dealing with people on the scale that most leadership positions will require, trial and error is NOT the way to go about it. Trust me. I know. I’ve got a crumpled up diploma from the School of Hard Knocks.

2. DIY Leadership

These leaders have a slightly better experience than the first group. Even though they find themselves in leadership positions without preparation, they immediately take the initiative to start searching for books, videos, or anything else that can help them level up their leadership game.

About half of this group will end their careers with a fatal mistake that they could have easily avoided but just never knew to look out for. The other half will go on to struggle through the complex web of politics and bureaucracy that is woven into the very fabric of all leadership positions…

The whole while wondering, “Isn’t there a better way? One where leading people isn’t as risky as driving through a field of landmines, hoping that the next emotionally charged conflict doesn’t explode and destroy all that you’ve struggled to build?”

YES! Yes, there is! There is a better way.

3. Mentorship

Sir Isaac Newton, the famous English scientist who worked on Universal Gravitation and invented Calculus, once said, “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

History is filled with great men and women who achieved what they did because they were mentored by others. In Philosophy, Socrates mentored Plato, who then went on to mentor Aristotle. More recently, Mother Teresa also had a mentor (Fr. Michael van der Peet). Even Oprah Winfrey (Maya Angelou), Mark Zuckerberg (Steve Jobs), Bill Gates (Warren Buffet), and Martin Luther King Jr. (Benjamin E. Mays) all had mentors.

The reason is simple: having a mentor makes it easier for you to become better at what you do and achieve your goals in the shortest time possible. (The secret sauce behind “overnight successes”).

This is because apart from the fact that most mentors had many mentors themselves, they’ve also all been through the struggle that you’re going through. They’ve made countless mistakes, learned valuable lessons as a result, and gone on to achieve great things.

So, benefiting from their wealth of knowledge and experiences, you don’t have to make the same mistakes they did. It’s like being able to look into the future and dodge every bullet of bad decisions and painful regrets before it even happens!

Now, if you’ve read up to this point, then you’re one of the few leaders who are actually serious about putting in the effort to improve themselves and their team. So I am confident that what I’m about to show you will totally transform the way you lead people, helping you get into their minds, understand how they think, and get them to do what you ask.

But first, let me introduce myself.

My name is Greg Gray

and I’m the Founder and President of Renaissance Unlimited, Inc.—

a professional and personal leadership firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. In the past 30 years, I’ve traveled to more than 500 cities (49 states, 8 countries) across America, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Pacific Rim speaking as an expert on leadership, sales, relationship building, and customer experience. My keynotes, seminars, and workshops have empowered tens of thousands of people and totally transformed the way they lead and relate with people at work and at home.

In 1994, I co-authored the largest Customer Service training course in the history of the United States. The program, entitled “Excellent Service! Handle with Care!”, was attended by more than 110,000 U.S. Postal Service employees and has become a standard video training series for all new USPS Retail employees.

I’ve also authored 2 books and worked with several big associations, organizations, and companies both in the public and private sectors including the National Association for Court Management, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Zig Ziglar Center for Ethical Leadership, Wells Fargo Bank, the Judicial College of the Supreme Court of Ohio, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, and numerous colleges and universities all across the country, just to name a few.

In addition to all this, in the civic leadership realm, I was a 3-term president (elected to 3 consecutive 2-year terms - which has never happened before or since) of the the 3rd largest chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.® in the Southeastern United States. Chapter Membership increased by nearly 200% over my term, mainly from reclaiming members back to active status.

During that same time, fundraising went from $7K per year to an average of $35K per year over 6 years. The Nu Mu Lambda Chapter, also known as the DeKalb Alphas, was also one of the most recognized Chapters with awards at the state and regional level during that term, including being recognized as Chapter of the year multiple times.

So I think it’s safe to say that I know a thing or two about leadership and people management in the private sector, the public sector, and in the civic sector... :)

INTRODUCING

The Influential Leader

A 6-week live coaching program for managers and business owners to help you understand why people aren’t doing what you want them to do how you can change it

Here's what's included in the program:

LIVE Group Coaching Sessions

Each week starting on the 8th of November, we'll host once-weekly group coaching sessions where we'll cover each step of the program in depth with examples and opportunities for feedback to your question. You'll also get access to recordings of every session plus one year of access to the evergreen version of the program. Keep reading for the coaching session details.

INTRODUCTION — Paradigm Shift

Here, we’ll look at a new and seemingly counterintuitive leadership mindset that will transform your entire approach to how you lead others. This paradigm shift — this new mindset — is the very foundation of great leadership.

After we’ve built a solid foundation, you’ll be ready to implement the rest of the material in this course with ease.

There are 5 categories of reasons why people don’t do what you want them to do. Knowing these reasons and what to do about them can dramatically improve compliance in your organization or home.

In the following modules of this course, we’ll be looking at all the reasons why you experience difficulties when trying to lead people.

MODULE 1 — A Knowledge Problem

The first category, I call the Knowledge Problem. Many leaders cannot get what they want from the people they work with because there is a difference between what the leader knows and what the team member knows. And a lot of the time, coworkers get labeled as lazy, inefficient, unproductive, or just simply dumb when that is really not the case.

In this module, you’ll be learning how to identify the 3 key knowledge problems that your colleagues may have. After that, you’ll learn exactly what to do to communicate your ideas to them in a way that makes your vision crystal clear.

MODULE 2 — A Perception Problem

Another category of problem is the Perception Problem. Here, you’ll learn how to take a peek into the mind of your team members and understand some of the motives behind their actions.

Why are they doing something completely different from what you asked them to do?

Why are they using less effective methods even though you specifically gave them a format that works?

In short, we’ll be answering the question, “what are my team members thinking?” in this module. And once you can understand their way of perceiving situations, you’ll have a lot easier time getting them to follow your leadership.

MODULE 3 — An Aftereffect Problem

“What do you do when a team member successfully follows your leadership and is more effective as a result?”

“What do you do when a team member does not follow your leadership and underperforms as a result?”

The fact is that almost 100% of leaders that are struggling to build a more compliant team struggle with this category of problems. And, if you’ve been a leader long enough, you’ll know that the old-school methods that teach praise, punishment, rewards, and promises no longer work.

As society has advanced, so has the workplace.

But what you do as a leader after your team member has either failed or been successful is probably the most important aspect of people management — and that is why it cannot be overlooked. This is what determines whether or not people are willing to follow you on the next mission, and the next, and the next.

In this module, we’ll be looking at the common mistakes new leaders make in this category, and how to apply timeless principles to everyday leadership situations.

MODULE 4 — A Capability Problem

Here, we'll look at the Capability Problem. There are times when a team member will lack the capability to effectively deliver on a task. Knowing how to spot those situations and exactly what to do to empower your team with the knowledge and skills they need is critical in building an effective, efficient, and compliant team.

In this module, we’ll also be looking at what you as the leader needs to do after you’ve identified this category of problems.

MODULE 5 — A Refusal Problem

Finally, this module covers issues with your team when they refuse to carry out a task and all your efforts fail. You'll understand the right steps to take before considering firing them as there's always more than what meets the eye.

By this point, you’d have learned a new way of thinking and acting in your leadership capacity. This paradigm shift will greatly improve the ease with which you assimilate and apply new and effective leadership strategies.

You will have  have also learned how to identify and overcome all the obstacles to getting the behaviors you want and need from your team — 14 in all — under the 5 Categories of Problems (Knowledge, Perception, Aftereffect, Refusal, and Capability). Correctly identifying these problems and implementing their solutions will positively affect the way your team perceives you as a leader, increasing your influence with them and helping you build a more cohesive, effective, and cooperative team.

But there are 5 fatal mistakes that new leaders always make!

Each one of these mistakes is significant enough to undo all the progress you’ve made with your team, or, at the very least, undermine your leadership.

And that’s why I’m throwing in an additional module…

MODULE 6 — Fatal Mistakes

In this module, I’ll be walking you through 5 mistakes that I have seen new leaders make over and over again. And with my 30+ years of experience in the leadership industry, I’ll help you understand why these mistakes are so detrimental to your leadership, what the correct things are to do instead, and what to do if you’ve already made the mistake of committing these mistakes.

But Wait... There's More!

B O N U S

The Non-Compliance Filter Workbook

When you sign up for this program, you’ll also get access to a PDF workbook that summarizes key concepts from the course and helps you implement everything you learn. This workbook will also help you easily apply what you’ve learned to your everyday situations.

As a PDF workbook, you can carry it with you on your phone wherever you go and refer to it whenever you need to. This workbook is filled with practical information from the entire course and powerful questions that help you fill in information unique to you and your everyday situation.

The Non-Compliance Filter Workbook is all you need to immediately start applying everything you have already learned from this amazing course.

Now, you may be wondering, what makes The Influential Leader different from other programs and courses out there?

Two words: Simplicity, and Speed. (Well… that’s technically three words, but you get the point.)

Most leadership programs teach using one of two methods:

The Tortoise Method

“Slow and steady wins the race” is the motto of this method. The process it teaches takes months, if not years, to master and fully implement. It requires everyone on your team to get together to take the course and come up with strategies that you can apply in your workplace.

This is one of those methods that you read in books or online articles and say “Yeeeaaahhh, why haven’t I ever tried it? It sounds amazing,” and you even go on to recommend the article to someone else.

But the reason you never implement it is that it requires you to commit a ridiculously large amount of time and energy. It’s good, great even— on paper, but impractical when you have finite resources and need results right now.

The Einstein Method

These programs tend to be very direct and practical in their approach. Everything is going well until you realize that you have to memorize 3 different acronyms and pneumonics in the first module alone!

“So remember, the VTD framework fits nicely with this YP6T model of leadership. By the time your department heads are done filling out the Q9 forms and everyone in the group has signed, you’ll be able to move on to phase 2.”

It makes perfect sense while you’re watching the video, but 2 weeks later, you don’t know whether the T in VTD was Testing or Teaching. A month later and you’re struggling with the exact same problems, maybe because nobody cares about filling out their seemingly pointless Q9 forms anymore.

And I don’t blame you. Humans are not machines. We don’t learn by code.

Countless experiments and studies have shown that storytelling helps us learn faster and retain information for longer. This is why we use stories to teach kids early on in school. This is why you can remember specific details of a lesson in a movie over 20 years after you’ve seen it!

And… the more “emotionally charged” the story is, the better you remember it. You’re more invested. You become the main character and you start subconsciously thinking about what you would do in that situation.

So, whatever lessons or solutions are offered in the story, your mind holds unto them more closely because it wants you to be able to apply them in your own life.

And that is why I teach using humor, and practical, relatable stories that connect with people’s struggles. The concepts simply stick. No formulae, no equations, none of that. After you finish each module of The Persuasive Leader, you’ll know exactly what to do with the information you have, and you’ll still know what to do 10 years from today because you didn’t have to memorize a lot of mumbo jumbo.

The goal of this program is to turn you into the persuasive leader, not to make you memorize what the persuasive leader would do if he or she were in your shoes. This program is designed to help you acquire the knowledge and skills that make great leadership become second nature to you!

100% Risk-Free Money-Back Guarantee!

Taking calculated risks and investing in yourself as a leader is always a good idea, but that doesn’t make it any easier. We still have hesitations and doubts whenever it’s time to make important decisions, even when we know that they will positively impact our lives.

So let me make this easier for you.

When you sign up now, you’ll get weekly dripped access to the program. After the first group coaching session,if you’re not satisfied with the value that I have provided, send me an email and I’ll give you a FULL refund!  That’s how much I believe in this program!
